O Ministério da Cultura realiza entre os dias 20 e 29 de maio, no Congresso Nacional, exposição dos Programas Mais Cultura e Cultura Viva. O evento será aberto nesta quarta-feira, dia 20, às 15h30, no corredor de acesso ao Plenário, na Câmara dos Deputados.

Participarão da solenidade o ministro da Cultura, Juca Ferreira, a presidenta da Comissão de Educação e Cultura da Câmara dos Deputados, deputada Maria do Rosário, o presidente da Frente Parlamentar em Defesa da Cultura, deputado José Fernando Aparecido de Oliveira, a secretária de Articulação Institucional do MinC e coordenadora executiva do Mais Cultura, Silvana Meireles, o secretário de Cidadania Cultural, Célio Turino, dentre outras autoridades.

Ao final do evento, o Ponto de Cultura Menino de Ceilândia apresentará a Orquestra Popular Menino de Ceilândia, que surgiu a partir da aprovação do Projeto Cultura, Turismo e Inclusão Social, desenvolvido pelo Ministério do Turismo por meio da Fundação Banco do Brasil, que realiza aulas de musicalização com teoria e práticas musicais para formação de orquestra e grupo de dança popular, cooperativa de costura e serigrafia.

O Programa Mais Cultura foi lançado em outubro de 2007 com o objetivo de marcar o reconhecimento da cultura como necessidade básica, direito de todos os brasileiros, tanto quanto a alimentação, a saúde, a moradia, a educação e o voto. A partir desse programa, o Governo Federal incorpora a cultura como vetor importante para o desenvolvimento do país, incluindo-o na Agenda Social – política estratégica de estado para reduzir a pobreza e a desigualdade.

O Programa Cultura Viva foi criado em julho de 2004, a partir da constituição de uma rede orgânica de criação e gestão cultural, que exercita novas práticas na relação entre Estado e sociedade, mostrando que quem faz cultura é a sociedade e, portanto, cabe ao Estado potencializar essas iniciativas.

Os Pontos de Cultura são entidades da sociedade civil que desenvolvem ações de caráter sociocultural e que, a partir do reconhecimento do MinC, são apoiadas com recursos de R$ 180 mil, distribuídos em três anos.

Cultura e Cidadania - promover melhoria da qualidade de vida à medida que protege e promove a diversidade cultural e amplia o acesso a bens e serviços culturais. Integram essa eixo as seguintes ações: Pontos de Cultura, Cine Mais Cultura, Conteúdos para TV Pública, Pontinhos de Cultura/Espaço de Brincar, Pontos de Leitura, Agentes de Leitura, Livros Mais Cultura e Vale Cultura.
Culture and Citizenship - To improve the quality of life as it protects and promotes cultural diversity and widen access to cultural goods and services. Part of that axis the following actions: Pontos de Cultura, Cine More Culture Contents for Public TV, Flecks of Culture / Area of Play, Points of Reading, Reading Agents, Books and More Culture Valley Culture.

Escola Viva – cultura, comunidade e educação em reencontro - a partir das experiências culturais de cada Ponto, os estudantes podem identificar signos e códigos da cultura local e, na troca de experiências, apropriar-se do conhecimento estético e ético da cultura brasileira, e de como ela se relaciona com outras culturas.
Living School - Culture, education and community reunion - from the cultural experiences of each point, students can identify signs and codes of local culture and the exchange of experiences, take ownership of the ethical and aesthetic knowledge of Brazilian culture, and how it relates to other cultures.

Interações Estéticas - O Cultura Viva, em parceria com a Funarte, lançou o prêmio Interações Estéticas – residências artísticas em Pontos de Cultura. O prêmio visa estimular o intercâmbio cultural e estético.
Aesthetic Interactions - The Living Culture, in partnership with Funarte, launched the award Interactions Aesthetics - artist residencies in Points. The award aims to encourage cultural exchange and aesthetic.
